White Opal

White opal was one of the first types discovered and sold and it’s what most people visualize when thinking about opal. With a body tone of N7 to N9, white opal’s milky, translucent body tone can partially detract from what can be very bright play of color. White opal, though not transparent, allows light to be seen through it. Discerning between white opal and crystal opal can be challenging.
